private and public, to arrange or participate to a consortium to access
community financial support.
The Seventh Research Programme Framework (FP7)
The programme is intended to
address the needs of the ageing population, to reduce innovation barriers
of forthcoming promising markets, but also to lower future social security
costs. AAL aims - by the use of intelligent products and the provision of
remote services including care services – at extending the time older
people can live in their home environment by increasing their autonomy and
assisting them in carrying out activities of daily living.
ICT PSP - Policy Support Programme
The ICT Policy Support Programme (ICT PSP) under the Competitiveness and Innovation Programme (CIP) aims at stimulating innovation and competitiveness through the wider uptake and best use of ICT by citizens, governments and businesses, particularly Small and Medium-sized Enterprises.

Metrics R&D division actively promotes international co-operation within the framework of European Commission programmes.
We have already succesfully participated in a number of European funded projects, we are currently developing EU funded research on usability and accessibility of e-learning interfaces and on-line public information systems.
Metrics has also signed contracts with the European Commission in Bruxelles for expert evaluation of R&D projects in the fields of e-Government, IST, Telecommunications and Educational Multimedia.
Metrics is currently researching innovative solutions and methodologies in the field of e-Learning and e-Government, addressing hot issues such as e-Inclusion, multilingual and multicultural approaches, e-Democracy.
